Open Education

University of Virginia Library
Open resource

The UVA Library supports the creation and use of Open Educational Resources (OER), which are freely available for sharing, adapting, and reuse. Open Educational Resources (OER) can encompass a variety of materials, including textbooks, syllabi, course modules, videos, assessment tools, and more. Our initiative also supports **Open pedagogy**, the practice of leveraging OER to foster active learning experiences that engage students as active creators of information, leading to improved engagement and academic success.
