Biography
Ania Kowalik is an Education Trainer with the TEACH Program at the Eindhoven University of Technology where she supports educational projects in summative and formative assessment and feedback, continuous professional development for teachers, curriculum redesign, and development of personal and professional skills in the Bachelor College.
Ania has a diverse background in higher education with teaching and educational development experience at a wide variety of institutions across the world. She received her BA in EFL from the Teacher Training College in Czestochowa (Poland), MA in American Studies from the American Studies Center at the University of Warsaw, and her PhD in Comparative Literature from Emory University. Ania was a Visiting Faculty in Master in North American Studies at the University of Turin (Italy) in 2008-2009. Since 2014, she has held educational development positions at Emory's Center for Faculty Development and Excellence, Georgia Tech's Center for Teaching and Learning, University of Iowa's Center for Teaching, and Rice University's Center for Teaching Excellence. At Rice, she was also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Program in Writing and Communication (2019-2022) where she taught courses in written and oral communication, environmental literacy, and Caribbean literature.
