Biography
Tim earned a Ph.D. from Washington State University in 2004. His fields of study were Communication, Sociology, and Political Science. He is currently a Professor in the School of Communication Studies at James Madison University. Tim teaches courses that focus on human communication, pedagogy, and organizational communication. His research and scholarship interests include the theory and practice of teaching and how they influence student learning. He is currently focusing on how to incorporate generative AI tools in the classroom, using onboarding techniques and activities that align students with ethical expectations.
