This rubric provides qualitative descriptions of components that distinguish learning-focused syllabi and uses a quantitative scoring system that places syllabi on a spectrum from content-focused to learning-focused.

Inclusion-by-Design Syllabus Review Tool

This survey tool helps instructors examine a particular syllabus and course design to get a broader perspective on inclusion in actual teaching practices. The worksheet has three sections: (1) Context and design of a course, (2) the “text” of a syllabus and course design, and (3) the subtext of the syllabus.

Online Course Design Rubric

The Course Design Rubric was adapted from the California Community College Online Education Initiative for reviewers of online courses. It evaluates several components including course design, interaction and collaboration, assessment, accessibility, and learner support.
