Biography
Caroline Warren joined the Center for Teaching Excellence in June 2022. She is a Postdoctoral Research Associate working with Elizabeth Dickens, Assistant Director of Curriculum Development. Caroline’s interests include inclusive and feminist pedagogies and equity-focused curriculum design.
Caroline holds a B.A. in Science and Technology Studies from Vassar College and a Ph.D. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Emory University. Prior to coming to UVA, Caroline was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Emory University, where she designed and taught courses in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Feminist Science Studies. Her disciplinary research explores the complex ethical and methodological function of “care” in animal research.
