Biography

Allie Brandriet, PhD, is an Assistant Director at the University of Iowa Center for Teaching. With a background in chemistry education research, instructional design, and teaching, she partners with instructors to explore evidence-based approaches to course design and teaching. Her work includes supporting the TILE (Transform, Interact, Learn, Engage) initiative, a nationally recognized University of Iowa effort focused on active learning classrooms and teaching practices; co-leading Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) initiatives; supporting Teaching as Research through the CIRTL program with graduate students and postdoctoral scholars; and helping instructors navigate the opportunities and challenges of generative AI in teaching and learning.
